Laura Gilbert, MA, LMFT
Laura has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental and mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, social difficulties, and behavioral challenges. Her past clinical experience includes providing individual and family therapy in various settings including non-public schools, day treatment centers and in-home settings.
Laura is passionate about involving the family system to ensure everyone is supported and functioning at their optimum levels. She encourages clients to facilitate their own growth and form appropriate personal goals. Laura’s approach is compassionate, collaborative and focuses on building a trusting therapeutic relationship. She enjoys working within the frameworks of Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as a strong focus on the family system.
Laura earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
