Callie Albaugh, B.A. - Couples & Family Therapy Practicum Student

Callie is pursuing a Master of Arts degree at the University of St. Thomas in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Callie has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, emotional and behavioral challenges, and on the Autism Spectrum.  Her professional experience includes working in rehabilitation clinic, Autism day treatment, and group home settings. 

Callie believes in joining each client where they are and incorporating a therapeutic relationship built on collaboration and empowerment, focusing on the specific needs and desires of each client.  Callie’s approach utilizes an integrative systemic focus, drawing from Family Systems Theory, Experiential Family Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.  She emphasizes the unique individuality of each client by finding the right approach suited for them.  At the heart of her approach, Callie believes that the inclusion and incorporation of the family through interpersonal communication and the individual’s emotional experience can lead to significant change.
