Abby Wulfing - Mental Health Practitioner
Abby has a Master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Counseling Psychology with a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her professional experience includes in-office counseling with adults, adolescents, children, and families from various ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds as well as in-school counseling and group psychotherapy.
Abby has a variety of clinical experience working in different contexts including school systems, residential settings, and Autism day treatment.
Abby’s therapeutic presence is genuine, collaborative, and empathic. She draws from several approaches when working with clients, integrating Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy within a strengths-based framework. Her clinical approach to therapy is client-centered, culturally sensitive and responsive, and compassionate; she focuses on meeting clients where they are at in their journey as well as creating an open, trusting, therapeutic relationship that is conducive to change and facilitative of growth.
